Capcom released the second entry of the franchise as a remaster this year in May. And now its full focus is on the Onimusha: Way of the Sword. There were some rumors of a remake or remaster of the 3rd game of the series. But it seems they are not correct, at least for now. produce of the game  Akihito Kadowaki in an interview said : 

 

"We are well aware that there is a desire to see a remaster of Onimusha 3. It's a request we receive often. But currently, our team has about 170 people, and we are all focused on Way of the Sword. Taking someone away from this project to work on another remaster or side project would be detrimental to the current project, and we don't want to compromise Way of the Sword in any way."
