Gameplay Tuning Adjustments Announced
In a November “Feedback Update,” EA confirmed several gameplay changes designed to enhance balance and responsiveness across competitive modes.
Goalkeeper movement will be made “less effective” in an update scheduled for December, following concerns that manual keeper control has provided disproportionate defensive advantages.
A previous reduction to Controlled Sprint dribbling speed has been fully reverted, restoring the higher responsiveness that players reported prior to last month’s patch.
AI defending and CPU behavior have been further refined. Defensive units will mark less aggressively at the edge of the penalty area, while offline CPU teams now exhibit more dynamic passing and positional movement. Additional adjustments to CPU attacking behavior are under evaluation.
EA stated that these changes are intended to improve fairness, encourage more expressive attacking play, and enhance the overall match experience in both online and offline modes.
Season 3 Set to Launch on 27 November
EA confirmed that Season 3 of Ultimate Team will begin on 27 November 2025 worldwide.
The new season will introduce:
A full Season Pass reset, featuring both free and premium reward pathways
New objectives and progression milestones
Updated packs, coin rewards, and cosmetic items
Unannounced special player items expected to be revealed at launch
Player inventories, clubs, and coins will carry over, though all Season 2 progress will be reset as usual.
