Daily Ultimate Team Content – January 2

Squad Building Challenges (SBCs)

January 2 introduces a new batch of daily SBCs focused on accessibility and steady rewards:

  • Daily Puzzle SBC
A low-rating requirement challenge aimed at casual completion, rewarding a small but efficient pack. Ideal for clearing club stock without major investment.

  • Daily Upgrade SBC
Refreshing once again, this SBC allows players to recycle untradeable golds in exchange for a mixed pack return, maintaining a reliable grind loop for both casual and competitive players.

  • Promo-Themed SBCs (Ongoing)
Several SBCs tied to the current promo remain available, including:

    • Player SBCs featuring boosted stats and tailored PlayStyles

    • Pack SBCs requiring Team of the Week items or higher-rated squads, increasing demand for 83–86 rated fodder

These SBCs continue to support market activity, particularly for mid-rated golds and TOTW cards.

Promo Players in Packs

Special promo items remain live in packs, offering upgraded attributes, alternative positions, and enhanced PlayStyles compared to their base versions. These cards are designed to fit the current meta, with noticeable boosts in pace, dribbling, and passing for attacking players, while defenders benefit from improved physical and defensive AI traits.

Promo cards are expected to stay in packs until the next scheduled content refresh, keeping pack openings relevant throughout the day and sustaining interest across all modes.

Objectives & Seasonal Progress

New Daily Objectives are now live, granting XP toward the current season ladder alongside small pack rewards. These objectives can be completed naturally through:

  • Division Rivals

  • Squad Battles

  • Friendly modes tied to the ongoing promo

XP progression remains a key focus as players push toward higher seasonal rewards.

Team of the Week Availability

The current Team of the Week lineup is still active in packs. TOTW items remain essential for several SBC requirements, ensuring consistent demand and preventing sharp price drops across the board.

Market & Competitive Outlook

January 2 shapes up as a consolidation day rather than a major content shift. High-rated fodder prices remain stable due to SBC demand, while promo cards continue to define market movement. Traders are closely watching for any surprise SBC drops later in the evening, which could quickly impact supply and prices.

With the next major Ultimate Team update expected at the standard daily reset, players are advised to manage fodder carefully and stay flexible ahead of potential new content.

More FC 26 Ultimate Team updates will follow as the January content cycle continues.
