🎄 2. Winter Promo Events on the Horizon
While not exactly on 17 Dec, major new promo content is expected this week:
Winter Wildcards — a seasonal promo expected to begin Friday, 19 December 2025 with fresh high-rated cards, including classics and upgrades. 
This event usually introduces: 
New power cards for Ultimate Team.
SBCs and objectives tied to the promo theme.
Often released on Fridays at typical promo drop times (late afternoon/early evening CET).
Because of this, EA sometimes buffers TOTW cards and big promo drops close together, so keep an eye on packs and challenges later in the week.
🛠 3. December / Holiday Game Update
EA also rolled out a Holiday patch / update with gameplay and mode improvements that affect FUT and other modes:
Rush mode now has a rematch option.
Goalkeeper AI, defending, and balance tweaks have been made to improve competitive play.
Seasonal visual touches and quality-of-life upgrades across modes. 
This update can subtly change how Ultimate Team plays, so it’s worth exploring new mechanics or meta shifts after the update.
