2K Games and Gearbox Software are launching Borderlands 4 this week. The game will be available on Thursday, September 11 on PC and on September 12 on consoles. The Switch 2 version will be available from October 3, 2025.

Game scores have been released throughout Metacritic and OpenCritic. On Metacritic, Borderlands 4 currently has an average rating of 84% on PC (65 reviews). The title has the same rating on OpenCritic (25 reviews).
